Halloween
Natalie: On Halloween me, Andrew, Lauren and Craig went trick or treating at 5:00pm. We finished school and walked back to Craig’s house so we could get changed into our costumes and bags. At 4:30 we walked down to our house and waited there till it was dark, which was at 5:00. We walked up the road and back down to owl way, then went off into roads off of owl way. We got lots and lots of sweets in the end and we nearly filled a whole bag each. At about 7 – 8 o’clock we went back to Craig’s house for a while. We waited for our mum and dad to come pick us up when mum and dad got to Craig’s house they stayed for about 10 or 20 minutes then we went home and dad took a picture of us in our costumes and a picture of all our sweets that we got. It was really fun going trick or treating and we all got heaps of sweets.
Churches
Lauren: Since we have been here we have been going different places and on the way to where we have been going we have stoped and taken some pictures of churches. We have taken a lot of pictures of churches. We have also seen some old tombstones at the churches. We went around trying to read them but they were really old and fallen over. Some of them were really old and some weren’t that old. One of the churches was all decorated in Christmas decorations and you couldn’t read the tombstones there because they were really old ones.
Guy Fawkes Night
Lauren: On Monday the 5th of November we went to Nans house and stayed there for a while and we went over to Conegear Park to watch the bon fire and the fireworks. It was a massive bon fire and after it had been burning for a while they started to light the fireworks. The fireworks lasted about ten minutes and they were really good. During the weekend before there were a lot of fireworks going off because some people do them the closest Saturday to Guy Fawkes Night. There were some fireworks going off just across the road and some near our backyard. On Sunday morning we were going out and there was a firework right next to mum’s car. There were a lot of fireworks. Most of them worked but some mucked up and didn’t work. At Conegear Park there were some stalls were you could play some games, there was a throwing one were you had to knock down 3 tins and a darts one were you had to throw three darts into the same colour cardboard. When they were doing the fireworks one of them went into the crowd and some sparks were hitting people as well. It was really cold that night.
Trip to Southend
Andrew: On the 10th of November we went to grandmas. We left home at about 9:00 am. We got there at about 10:30 am. When we got there uncle john was there with his kids. After uncle john had left we sat round and talked then we went out side and brought some extra chairs in for lunch. Me and Lauren stayed out there and played badminton and soccer. Then we came in and had lunch we had sausage rolls pizza, salad, chicken and lots more. After lunch I walked down to the corner shop and brought some football cards which I am collecting. When I got back we played cards and at about 4:30 pm Uncle Roy came up to take Nan to Southend because we were going as well. Grandma didn’t go she went to play cards at a friends. We left at about 5;30 pm. It took us about 30 minutes to get there. When we got there we were only going to go on the arcade machines. But if you got there after 6pm your ticket for the rides was half price. So we got one each they were 10 pound. The first couple of rides were good. I played this game were u had 4 balls and u had to knock down 3 clowns that were on a stand. There were about 30 clowns my first ball missed. My next 2 hit so my last one needed to hit and it went in between 2 it was so unlucky. Then we went on some more rides we went on a rollercoaster that dropped about 20 metres then went upside down twice and twisted round. Then we went on a ride called big drop. It went up about 40 metres then dropped straight down. Then we went on a ride called tidal wave. We didn’t know what it was. It was were you went in a little rubber dingy down a water slide and we got soaked. We didn’t have a change of clothes. Then we had fish and chips. After fish and chips we watched a fire work display it went for about 20 minutes. Then we had some more rides and went over to the amusements I won about 1 pound. Then we went home I was staying at grandmas with nanny. She had been staying there all week. Tonight was her last night. Mum dad Nash and Lon went home they got home at about 12am. We got home about 11 pm. The next day auntie Chris took me home with nanny and grandma. We stopped at a place called marine for lunch I had a burger. The place over looked a lake. Then we went into town after town we went back to our house grandma and Chris stayed until about 7pm. When they left we played some games with Michael Daniel and Craig. We played carpet bowls and magnetic darts they left at about 9 pm it was a good weekend.

The Cold Weather
Peter: The weather has started to get colder. Last week it was -2 degrees as I was driving to work. Several mornings I have to get the ice off the windscreen before I go anywhere. At least it got up to about 5 degrees by lunchtime. With the clocks changing for daylight savings it now starts to get dark about 4:00pm so the days seem very short (and cold). The kids can't wait for it to snow. I have changed my car for work. I now drive a Peugot 407, a nice car to drive. Still travelling everywhere over the country and taking photos on the way. I stillhaven't played any more racketball yet but I have found a tournament in January. I might go in that.

Jackie: Well its already nearly the end of November, time sure does fly when your having fun. All is well this end. The kids can’t wait for the school holidays to begin; they only get 2 weeks at Christmas. I am enjoying my job. Wasn’t sure if I would at first, but the people I work for are really nice. Normally only work wed, thur, fri 12-3, but with the lead up to Christmas I am working a lot more and some evenings. Mainly Thursday evenings this is quiz night. I have to say I pull a mean pint.

Peter: Iv'e got a job delivering surveying equipment to construction sites around England. I work for a company called SCCS. I get a company car, 2007 Ford Mondeo, and a phone. A few of the places I have been to so far are Peterborough, Cambridge, Longstanton, Snetterton, Ipswich, Felixstowe, Colchester, Southend-on-Sea, Clacton-on-Sea, Rochester, Rye, Tilbury, London, Milton Keynes, Leicester, Cardiff, Gloucester, Wigan, Beccles, Soham, St. Ives, Chesterfield, Bedford, Earles Colne and Reading just to name a few. A good way to see the country.
Hunstanton
Andrew: On the 29th of September we went to Hunstanton. Hunstanton is a seaside when we got there we played on the arcade machines. Then we went on some giant slides. After that we had lunch for lunch we had chips. Then we went back on to the arcade machines on the arcade machines you use two pence coins to push of the other coins and in some machines there is little toys. We won five or six toys just before we came home we went on two more rides the first ride was the best one it was a roller coaster the second ride was a ferris wheel that started of flat then went upside down. On the way out I had a shot at throwing a ball and knocking down cans I won two teddies and I also had a shot at throwing a basketball I won an alien. We got back at about 7pm.
Hinchinbrooke Park
Lauren: On Sunday we went to Hinchinbrooke Park to pick some blackberries for a black berry pie. While we were driving to Hinchinbrooke Park Andrew wanted to take his camera to take some pictures of animals. He came down the stairs at nanny’s house and he was waiting down at the car for a while so he put his camera on the front of the car and forgot to take it off. So when we were driving the camera stayed on the front of the car the whole time and he only realised when we got to Hinchinbrooke Park. When we first started to walk we couldn’t find any black berries but after a while we could find some. Mum, Craig and I went through some long grass and then through a couple of trees to get to a black berry bush. We got there and there were heaps of black berries and we picked them. We saw two squirrels and a lot of rabbits. We saw two dead rabbits. We got to the field part and there was a flying fox thing and we all had a go on it. When we were walking back to the car Andrew, Craig, Daniel and Natalie all had a go on the slide. We drove home and Nan made an apple and black berry pie.

First day at School
Natalie’s first day at school: My first day at school was a fun and exciting experience the day starts at 8:30 and finishes at 3:05. First up I had PSHE which is doing work on your self, next period I had music and I really enjoyed that. After our first two lessons we had recess which goes for 15mins. Right after recess my grade had geography and phys Ed and after two lessons again we had our lunch. After lunch we had our last lesson which was maths. I really enjoyed my first day at high school in England.
Lauren’s first day at school: My first day of school, I didn’t like my first day of school because it was boring and I didn’t know what to do in maths and the rest of the subjects were boring except for P.E. other then going to school I have had fun especially going to Peterborough on my birthday. I have played soccer over on the field with the boys and I also played cricket as well. I have had a lot of fun so far except for school.
Andrew’s first day at school: My first day at school was absolutely crap all of my subjects are crap except for pe. I have been playing soccer and cricket with the boys which is fun. In town the other day I got a soccer ball. Mum brought Nan a pack of three g-strings in town they are zebra tiger and leopard it was a joke present.
The First Week
Jackie: Start of a new week and we have a meeting at school to enrol the kids. We come back and break the good news to them. They can start Wednesday. Andrew is shattered. We spend the next day running around organising school uniforms. I was far from impressed with the sales person. In my own words she was as dumb as dog shit. The lights were on but no-one was home that’s for sure. Have already done a bit of shopping, knew it wouldn’t take me long. There are some good summer bargains about. Have to say its good to be home. Will let the kids have their say now, so heres Nash.
The First Day
Peter: The next day spent in the town trying to organise Bank Accounts, Jobs, Benefits, etc.
I went to the Squash Courts and no-one plays racketball here. By the time I get back Chris might be able to beat me if I can’t organise a hit anywhere. We went to enrol the kids in school as well. They should be able to start next week. Visited Steve and Sarah who only live walking distance from Margs. Had to check out if the AFL is live. So far all the games are on delayed telecast by about 4 hours. Maybe the Grand Final will be live. (I hope).Had a B.B.Q at Steve’s for tea Saturday night and managed to see highlights of West Coast v Collingwood.

The Plane Trip
Peter: We finally made it. 32 hours door to door and everyone is very tired. We are all staying at Marg’s for the first couple of weeks. She lives in a one bedroom flat. The kids will sleep there and me and Jackie have got the guest room to sleep in. Lauren only managed 20 minutes sleep for the whole trip. We got a good surprise when we arrived. Jackie’s uncle, Roy, gave us a car to use. It is registered and insured. One thing we don’t have to worry about. Every one was very tired and we all had an early night.
