Hunstanton
Andrew: On the 29th of September we went to Hunstanton. Hunstanton is a seaside when we got there we played on the arcade machines. Then we went on some giant slides. After that we had lunch for lunch we had chips. Then we went back on to the arcade machines on the arcade machines you use two pence coins to push of the other coins and in some machines there is little toys. We won five or six toys just before we came home we went on two more rides the first ride was the best one it was a roller coaster the second ride was a ferris wheel that started of flat then went upside down. On the way out I had a shot at throwing a ball and knocking down cans I won two teddies and I also had a shot at throwing a basketball I won an alien. We got back at about 7pm.
Hinchinbrooke Park
Lauren: On Sunday we went to Hinchinbrooke Park to pick some blackberries for a black berry pie. While we were driving to Hinchinbrooke Park Andrew wanted to take his camera to take some pictures of animals. He came down the stairs at nanny’s house and he was waiting down at the car for a while so he put his camera on the front of the car and forgot to take it off. So when we were driving the camera stayed on the front of the car the whole time and he only realised when we got to Hinchinbrooke Park. When we first started to walk we couldn’t find any black berries but after a while we could find some. Mum, Craig and I went through some long grass and then through a couple of trees to get to a black berry bush. We got there and there were heaps of black berries and we picked them. We saw two squirrels and a lot of rabbits. We saw two dead rabbits. We got to the field part and there was a flying fox thing and we all had a go on it. When we were walking back to the car Andrew, Craig, Daniel and Natalie all had a go on the slide. We drove home and Nan made an apple and black berry pie.

First day at School
Natalie’s first day at school: My first day at school was a fun and exciting experience the day starts at 8:30 and finishes at 3:05. First up I had PSHE which is doing work on your self, next period I had music and I really enjoyed that. After our first two lessons we had recess which goes for 15mins. Right after recess my grade had geography and phys Ed and after two lessons again we had our lunch. After lunch we had our last lesson which was maths. I really enjoyed my first day at high school in England.
Lauren’s first day at school: My first day of school, I didn’t like my first day of school because it was boring and I didn’t know what to do in maths and the rest of the subjects were boring except for P.E. other then going to school I have had fun especially going to Peterborough on my birthday. I have played soccer over on the field with the boys and I also played cricket as well. I have had a lot of fun so far except for school.
Andrew’s first day at school: My first day at school was absolutely crap all of my subjects are crap except for pe. I have been playing soccer and cricket with the boys which is fun. In town the other day I got a soccer ball. Mum brought Nan a pack of three g-strings in town they are zebra tiger and leopard it was a joke present.
The First Week
Jackie: Start of a new week and we have a meeting at school to enrol the kids. We come back and break the good news to them. They can start Wednesday. Andrew is shattered. We spend the next day running around organising school uniforms. I was far from impressed with the sales person. In my own words she was as dumb as dog shit. The lights were on but no-one was home that’s for sure. Have already done a bit of shopping, knew it wouldn’t take me long. There are some good summer bargains about. Have to say its good to be home. Will let the kids have their say now, so heres Nash.
The First Day
Peter: The next day spent in the town trying to organise Bank Accounts, Jobs, Benefits, etc.
I went to the Squash Courts and no-one plays racketball here. By the time I get back Chris might be able to beat me if I can’t organise a hit anywhere. We went to enrol the kids in school as well. They should be able to start next week. Visited Steve and Sarah who only live walking distance from Margs. Had to check out if the AFL is live. So far all the games are on delayed telecast by about 4 hours. Maybe the Grand Final will be live. (I hope).Had a B.B.Q at Steve’s for tea Saturday night and managed to see highlights of West Coast v Collingwood.

The Plane Trip
Peter: We finally made it. 32 hours door to door and everyone is very tired. We are all staying at Marg’s for the first couple of weeks. She lives in a one bedroom flat. The kids will sleep there and me and Jackie have got the guest room to sleep in. Lauren only managed 20 minutes sleep for the whole trip. We got a good surprise when we arrived. Jackie’s uncle, Roy, gave us a car to use. It is registered and insured. One thing we don’t have to worry about. Every one was very tired and we all had an early night.
